What is a Monument Sign?

A monument sign advertises the location of your business from the side of the road. One of the most recognized types of monument signage is the tall sign displaying all the businesses in a shopping center. If not in a shopping center, these signs typically sit ground level where passersby can view from the road.

Why Invest in a Monument Sign?

Draw In Customers

Think about the last time you approached a brick and mortar store. Chances are, the reason you went in was because a large monument sign by the road told you you were in the right place. Your monument sign grabs the attention of potential clients and directs them in the direction of your store. Without that sign, people may pass by unaware that you exist in that space.

Not only does a monument sign draw in new customers, the sign helps direct existing customers who may be visiting your brick and mortar for the first time. You want to make sure your sign is visible and recognizable. That way, customers are less likely to get lost and frustrated.

Make Your Brand Known

The type of monument signage available to you limits the amount of creativity you can wrap into your monument sign. When sharing the sign with other tenants, you may only have space for your business name and/or logo.

When your monument sign is your own, however, you’re free to incorporate as much or as little branding and creativity you want. Your monument sign should tell people exactly who you are with a possible bonus of what you do. Although your sign may not have much room for extra text, the font, colors, and orientation of your logo reflect your brand. Monument signs offer enough flexibility in materials and capabilities for your business’ personality to shine through.

The SpeedPro Monument Signage Process

We follow a tried and true process to make sure you get the most out of your SpeedPro Greenville experience.

Understand Your Vision

First, we talk with you and gather information about your business, your brand and your vision for the monument signage. We’ll ask questions relating to existing signs, style of signage, estimated sign size, design, installation, etc. Questions like these will help us better understand the scope of the project.

Project Proofing & Estimating

If you’re able to give us approximate sizing, design, and material, we’re able to provide an estimate without doing a site visit. Even if the original idea changes, we’re able to give you a ballpark to tell you what you may be looking at. If you’re starting from scratch, we’ll have to do a site visit, which may require a deposit, before we can provide a quote.

Once we’ve got the specifics ironed out, we’ll provide a mockup on our 2D template. The mockup process gives you an idea of what the finished product will look like, and this is the time to make any sizing or proofreading adjustments.

When you’re happy with the way your design looks on the template, we’ll give you a final proof and quote.

Production, Installation, Completion

After you give the green light, we begin production and schedule the installation. Depending on the scope of the project, production could take a week before we can get out for install. Regardless of the timeline, we’ll keep you updated. Soon enough, your new monument sign is completed and drawing in customers!

Customer Service

Our goal is to help your brand stand out. Just think of us as an extension of your marketing team. We ask questions to make sure you receive the best solution to help you reach your marketing goals. Your satisfaction with your finished product means a great deal to us. One of our mottos is “measure twice, cut once,” so don’t be surprised if we ask to measure your wall twice to make sure we have all measurements needed to ensure the best result.

Quality Materials

Monument sign inserts typically use a metal substrate with vinyl to represent the business. We use quality substrates and vinyl, and our inks are UV resistant. After a while, your insert vinyl may start to peel due to exposure to the elements, but it is relatively inexpensive to replace. Our new constructions are also created with quality materials, no matter which material you choose to use.

Turnkey Solutions

We are first and foremost large format printers, but we offer turnkey solutions for our clients. Often, we partner with another sign company who does their own fabrication. That way, we can offer you a more rounded experioence. Typically, we include installation and a site visit in our quotes, and we’ll even take care of the sign permitting if you prefer.
