Why Should You Get Your Fleet Wrapped?

High Return on Investment

Fleet wraps are simply a group of similar vehicle wraps installed on different vehicles. You can match your custom design across all of your vehicles – your utility trucks, other work vehicles and personal vehicles – adjusting each wrap to fit the vehicle and your preferences. With fleet wraps, you can transform your ordinary company vehicles into mobile billboards and engaging, dynamic pieces of advertising. You can continuously market your products and boost your company appeal while you’re running errands, stuck in traffic or on your daily commute.

When it comes to returns on investment (ROI), out-of-home (OOH) advertising generates an average of $5.97 in product sales for every dollar spent. This makes sense for vehicle wraps, since one wrap can generate between 30,000 – 80,000 impressions in a single day. There’s no doubt you’ll get at least one sale because someone saw your branded fleet.

Say you put a full wrap on your fleet’s sedan. Printing and installation would probably cost around $3,000. That one wrap will last you at least 4 years (though it’ll probably last longer). When you break that down into cost per day, you’d end up paying around $2.05 a day for 30k+ impressions. Now multiply that by however many fleet vehicles you have.

Constantly Build Brand Awareness

In the bustling business world and with rapidly evolving technology, it can be more and more difficult to get your brand and products noticed. Mobile advertising is one of the most effective and cost-efficient forms of out of home advertising. If you get out there with a fleet wrap, you can reach more potential customers at a lower cost per impression than with any other form of advertising.

Whether you’re on-site or on the road, your fleet wraps act as mobile billboards, showcasing your brand, products/services and contact info to everyone who sees one of your vehicles. Vehicle wraps generate many referrals as drivers see your branding around town.

Even when your vehicles are parked in driveways and parking lots, your wraps never stops marketing the business. As you know, the average vehicle wrap will get a minimum of 30,000 impressions in a day, parked or driving. Repetition is the key to remembering; the more people see your brand, the more likely they are to remember you in their time of need.

Well-Received by Viewers

According to the Outdoor Advertising Association of America (OAAA), people respond well to OOH ads (like fleet wraps) because they aren’t obtrusive to a person’s everyday life like some mediums are. For advertisers, wraps are a great place to explore creative options and create an enjoyable experience for viewers. Your fleet wrap can be designed with a wide range of colors and graphics to capture the spirit of your business and leave a lasting impression on everyone who sees you.

Understand Your Goals

For the first wrap for your fleet, we talk with you and gather information about your brand, you and your goals for the fleet wraps. We’ll ask questions about the year/make/model etc. of the first vehicle, the type of wrap coverage you’re looking for and what design ideas you have. By gathering more information, we’re able to provide a more accurate estimate for the project. Some factors in estimating include the amount of vinyl needed for the project and whether you request design services.

Project Proofing & Estimating

Often before providing an estimate we request to see photos or take measurements of your vehicles. While seeing the vehicle and taking measurements aren’t necessary for a ballpark estimate, we’re able to give you a more accurate number if we’re able to take a look at it. Taking measurements will help us better know how much vinyl we’ll be using, and sometimes helps with the mockup process if we don’t have a pre-made template.

As we start wrapping more of your fleet, we can skip the “getting to know you” portion of the wrap process. All you’d need to do is provide the year/make/model/cab/wheelbase/etc. and photos, or bring the vehicle for measurements. If we’re wrapping the same style vehicle as before, minimal design changes will be made to fit the wrap on the new vehicle. If you wrapped a truck first and now are wrapping a van, we’ll most likely tweak the design to fit on the new vehicle body.

Once we have a template or idea of sizing, we mockup your design on our 2D template. If you request design work, we provide an estimate for any design version requested. The mockup process gives you an idea of what the finished product will look like, and this is the time to make any sizing or proofreading adjustments. When you’re happy with the way your design looks on the template, we’ll give you a final proof and quote for your car wrap.

Production & Installation

After you give the green light, we begin production and schedule the installation. Installation of a full wrap on a vehicle usually takes a full business day, so be prepared to be without the vehicle for the day.

Once in the production phase, your artwork from your proof is converted into printable files and sent to the printer. After printing, we laminate. Our laminator uses pressure to bond the vinyl and laminate together, protecting the printed design. After lamination, your wrap moves either to the plotter to be custom cut or to the trim pile for finishing. Finishing includes removing the excess vinyl from your wrap and labeling each piece for installation.

When your install date comes, we hand the material to our installers and let them work their magic.

The Finished Product

The next time you walk into our office, your vehicle will look totally different. We’ll hand you the keys and off you go to start raising brand awareness with your brand new fleet wrap.

One of our mottos is “measure twice, cut once,” so don’t be surprised if we ask you to bring your vehicle by to make sure we have all measurements needed to ensure the best result.

Quality Materials

Our vehicle wraps typically last 4-6 years on the vertical surfaces and 2-2.5 years on horizontal surfaces, depending on care and protection from the elements. Our inks are UV resistant as well, allowing your fleet to look fresh for years. We’ll also make note of which printer and colors we use for your first wrap so that any following wraps are as close to the first as possible.

Turnkey Solutions

We are first and foremost large format printers, but we offer turnkey solutions for our clients. Installation is included in our quotes and design can be added if requested. We also offer wrap removal services if you’re planning on replacing the graphics. All our vehicle wraps are custom printed and priced based on square footage. In other words, you’ll be priced the same for polka dots and a full landscape scene, as long as the size is the same. We can digitally print and custom cut any size you need, and no project is too big! If you’re hesitant to take the leap and wrap all your vehicles, we’d love to start by wrapping one, then the next, and the next. No contract is necessary!
