Vehicle Wraps

El Cerrito, a small city on the rolling hills east of San Francisco Bay isn’t a famous destination.  But it may have the coolest new police cars around.  At least the white wrapped doors and reflective stars shine bright!

A pair of new Chevrolet Caprice PPVs (Police Patrol Vehicles) got their official “black & white” badging with the help of SpeedPro of SF Peninsula.  The El Cerrito PD had limited resources and didn’t have a digital copy of their vehicle star.  So we worked closely with them to recreate a vector based digital file based on their existing art, and created new reflective vinyl stars — printed, laminated and contour cut. Starting from a relatively low-res digital copy of the logo was a challenge, but not the first (or last) time we have to re-create art work to ensure top quality.

As guided by our client, we stayed with their minimalist approach to vehicle badging — white front doors that our top Speedpro installer wrapped with 3M 1080 cast vinyl and the seven point star on site at the ECPH HQ. Very clean and classic.

Reflective vinyl is a requirement for many public service vehicles, but it can also be a great addition to accent other wraps as we discussed in a previous blog. Whether it’s a couple of pairs of doors or a fleet of box trucks, Speedpro can help with all the design, production and installation of the ID graphics you need to make your vehicles stand out and be noticed.
