Select Q2 2019 Projects – Electronic Arts, Lulu’s Mexican, Exploratorium

To help visualize the variety of projects SpeedPro SF Peninsula does, here are just a few examples from April, May and June 2019. For other recent case studies, check out Select Q4 2018 Projects and Select Q1 2019 Projects

Electronic Arts

– Floor Decal for Employee Event —

Electronic Arts is one of the largest video game publishers in the world. As part of an internal event called Play@EA, employees are encouraged to get familiar with the latest versions of games. When Birmingham and Washington DC based agency Markham Group approached us about printing and installing a large, circular floor decal at EA’s headquarters, of course we said yes.

  • We used panoRama Walk &Wall, which is a durable, fabric-based adhesive material perfect for short to mid-term applications
  • Since there was not heavy foot traffic in the area between the large-screen monitors, the decal held up perfectly for the 3 week event.

Lulu’s Taquerias

– Truck/Van Partial Wraps, Taquiza Cart and Window Updates  —

Lulu’s is a Bay Area Mexican restaurant with five locations. SpeedPro has worked with them for almost a decade to provide door and window signage, large wall menus, custom decals and fleet wraps. Recently we updated their storefronts with Summer Hours and also:

  • Wrapped 3  trucks for their catering fleet.
  • Wrapped their “Taquiza Cart” which was set to appear in a scene in HBO’s hit series Silicon Valley.

Exploratorium

– Acrylic signs for learning …

San Francisco’s Exploratorium is a world class educational museum that specializes in hands-on, interactive learning. SpeedPro works with their curators and creative services team to execute precise elements for learning displays. A newly updated exhibit shows the growth and geographic evolution of San Francisco’s bay front shoreline. With precisely overlapping layers printed on our Agfa Anapurna H3200i on clear acrylic, children can add layers and see how the harbor and shoreline have changed from the early 1800’s to today.

…and Acknowledgement to generous donors —

For the 50th anniversary of Exploratorium, we were brought in to build and install a plaque to recognize and applaud the many donors whose generous gifts have funded the growth and success of this ongoing exploration of science, art and human perception. The sign was designed to be elegant but relatively low-key to be in keeping with the overall atmosphere. Gold was used for the contour cut vinyl lettering and stand-offs for the 4 acrylic panels. The panels are a 2 layer “sandwich”, allowing updates to donors printed with white ink on the back acrylic layer.
