How to Install a Custom Wall Covering
As part of our comprehensive wall covering design process, we provide effective and efficient installation services, so you can just sit back and see your fresh imagery come to life. If you prefer, installation steps can instead be completed by someone handy in your office. With a few extra hands and the right tools, wall covering installations can be a fairly straightforward process:
- Prepare the surface by wiping it down with a clean, dry cloth to remove dust, debris and other buildup.
- Get the wall covering ready by placing it image-side down — if you're installing a larger graphic with multiple panels, make sure to arrange each tile in their proper mounting order.
- Slowly remove the wall covering backing paper.
- Apply the mural or each individual wall covering tile using your fingers to lightly apply pressure to make sure the covering properly sticks to the wall.
- Use a squeegee tool to smooth out any creases, starting from the center of the graphic and moving outward to the wall covering’s edges.
- To help protect the image from damages, apply a sealant to the wall covering.
