Jay Nemecek
Owner & General Manager
Interesting Facts:
- My legal name is just the letter “J”—not Jay. I go by Jay because people kept calling me Allan (my middle name), which somehow felt more confusing.
- I have a borderline freakish ability to name songs from the ’70s through the 2010s—something I’ve proudly passed on to my 17-year-old daughter.
- If I come across Caddyshack, Old School, Tommy Boy, Tombstone, or The Shawshank Redemption, there’s a very good chance I’m not changing the channel.
Not-So-Interesting Facts:
- I grew up in a printing, advertising, and promotional family—my parents owned an awards and embroidery business, now run by my sister in Iowa.
- Spent the first 15 years of my career in advertising and sales with companies like People’s Energy, Sony Electronics, and LG Electronics.
- Always knew I wanted to own a business—my wife and I purchased SpeedPro Imaging of Eden Prairie in 2015 and have spent the past decade-plus building it into one of the top-performing studios in the SpeedPro network.

Jake Gehler
Account Executive/Production Lead
Interesting Facts:
- If it has two wheels, I’m in—motorcycles, bicycles, mopeds… grew up in a hardcore motorcycle family and logged thousands of cross-country miles (plus 10 years racing motocross).
- Karaoke is not a hobby, it’s a responsibility. Go-to song: Humpty Dance by Digital Underground. I’ve been called the “songbird of my generation”… no official verification needed.
- I once went on a two-week heater: won a dirt bike on Instagram AND a 65” TV… then got a flat tire and returned to reality.
- Love to cook (especially for others). Grilling and smoking are my specialties.
- Watermelon is the only fruit I acknowledge—and it earns its spot.
- Favorite place to eat: Carbones’ patio on a Friday night. No debate.
- Favorite holiday: my birthday… wildly underrated and should be celebrated more broadly.
- I try to play instruments… I know I can’t play guitar, but that doesn’t stop me. Sounds incredible in my head.
- If I had to eat one meal forever: Chicken Caesar Salad. Safe, reliable, gets the job done.
Not-As-Interesting Facts:
- Moved to Minneapolis right out of college to start at SpeedPro—knew no one, so I focused on learning the business from the ground up.
- Learned everything on the job—didn’t even know this industry existed before my interview.
- Slightly (very) obsessive about quality—I’m as proud of my customers’ finished products as they are.

Jennifer Nemecek
Owner & Accounts Receivable/Payable
Interesting Facts:
- When I was in high school, I was on a synchronized swimming team – spending most of my senior year upside in a pool before the sun came up.
- I am a die hard Cheer Mom. I’ve been cheering on our daughter from the sidelines and the stands since she was in kindergarten – and now she’s a cheerleader at the University of Minnesota! Ski-U-Mah!
- I may live in the Midwest, but love seafood; I could happily live off shrimp or fish ceviche alone (plus maybe a little chocolate).
Not-As-Interesting Facts:
- Before honing my accounting and HR duties at Speedpro, I spent 20 years as a Litigation Consultant, working with attorneys to prepare cases for trial.
- I am a sucker for volunteering – especially when comes to supporting students and athletics; for years I have been working on saying “no thank you,” but that’s still a work in progress.

Leo
Office Dog
Interesting Facts (According to Leo):
- Chief Morale Officer and full-time Golden Retriever—specializing in tail wags, office drop-ins, and unconditional enthusiasm.
- Loves everyone he meets… clients, delivery drivers, strangers—no exceptions. You are all his best friend.
- Highly motivated by treats. Will sit, stay, shake, and possibly review your print project for a snack.
- Maintains a strict daily watch for the mail carrier. It’s unclear if this is security-related or just a long-term friendship he’s trying to build.
- Enjoys regular “perimeter checks” (aka walks around the building), ensuring everything is up to dog-approved standards.
- Known to snooze on the job—but insists it’s just strategic energy conservation.
- Has never missed a meal. Not once.
- Believes every meeting should include snacks and pet breaks.
- Convinced he is the most important member of the team… and honestly, no one has argued otherwise.
V
Office Dog
Interesting Facts (According to V):
- Director of Energy & Chaos—operates in two modes: full sprint or fully asleep, with no warning between the two.
- Treat enthusiast… catching them is still a work in progress. Effort is there, execution is questionable.
- Part-time parking lot observer—keeps a close eye on the office windows, especially when turkeys wander through.
- Known bone strategist—hides treasures throughout the office for “later” (location tracking system still under development).
- Doggie gate? More of a suggestion. Fully capable of hurdling it when motivation strikes.
- Due to overwhelming enthusiasm for humans, often works from behind the gate for everyone’s safety (mostly yours).
- Has mastered the art of sleeping the entire day… until something exciting happens—then it’s game on.
- Occasionally moonlights as a “trash panda,” showing a strong curiosity for anything crinkly, crunchy, or suspiciously unattended.
