Most large-format print projects need at least some design work. Common in-house design support includes layout and composition for signs and banners, vector rebuild of raster logos to scale clean to any size, file prep and color separation for large-format output, dimensional letter design and CNC path generation, brand identity refresh for new sign and graphics programs, and template systems for multi-location and franchise rollouts. Recent Chicago-area design work includes brand identity systems for Chicago corporate clients and template systems for multi-location swim school rollouts at Big Blue across Chicago, Niles, and Wilmette.
Graphic Design as Part of a Chicago Print Project
Most print clients fall into one of three design scenarios. Some have finished print-ready files and need production only, no design. Some have brand assets but need layout, composition, or file prep for the specific print job. Some need full creative from logo refresh through to finished art. We handle all three.
File prep and vector rebuild. If you have a low-resolution logo or web-optimized files, we rebuild to vector at the resolution required for clean scaling to any sign size. Standard turnaround 1 to 2 business days.
Brand identity and template systems. For multi-location rollouts and franchise programs, we build template systems that produce consistent output across locations while supporting per-location customization (address, manager, local promo).
How much do graphic design services cost in Chicago?
Design rates run $85 to $135 per hour depending on scope. Standard sign layout typically runs 1 to 3 hours. Vector logo rebuild runs $80 to $250 depending on complexity. Full brand identity refresh starts around $1,500 and scales with deliverables.
What if I already have my own designer?
No problem. We accept print-ready files in PDF, AI, EPS, PSD, TIFF, or high-res JPEG. Our prepress team handles the production-side prep at no additional charge. If you need only file fixes (color separation, bleed addition, resolution upscaling), we charge a small prepress fee or include it in the print quote.
