Custom Decals Chicago

A decal is the fastest, most affordable way to put your brand on a window, a truck, or a wall. It is also the easiest thing to get wrong: a cheap decal bubbles on application, yellows in a season, and peels at the corners before the year is out, which looks worse than no decal at all. We cut and print custom decals for Chicago businesses on commercial-grade vinyl that goes on clean and stays put, whether it is one storefront logo or lettering across a fleet of trucks.

SpeedPro Windy City is a sign and graphics company in Downers Grove serving Chicago and the suburbs since 2008, with 160+ five-star Google reviews. We print, cut, and install in-house, and our team is 3M certified in window, wall, floor, and fleet graphics. Everything here is for businesses: storefronts, offices, vehicles, and fleets.

What is a custom decal?

A decal is a piece of vinyl, either cut into a shape or printed in full color, with an adhesive back that applies to a surface and can be removed later. Cut-vinyl decals are single-color shapes and lettering with no background, so the logo or text sits directly on the glass or panel. Printed decals are full-color graphics on a vinyl backing. The right one depends on the surface, the design, and how long it needs to last.

The Decals We Make for Chicago Businesses

Window decals

The workhorse of storefront branding: business hours, logos, phone numbers, promotions, and brand graphics on the glass. We do cut-vinyl window decals for clean single-color lettering, full-color printed window decals, perforated one-way decals that print on the outside while your staff still see out from inside, and large-format window decals that cover a full pane. Frosted-look decals give an etched-glass appearance for privacy without blocking light.

Vehicle, truck, and auto decals

Business and fleet vehicle lettering, door logos, DOT and USDOT numbers, spot graphics, and partial decal packages. For a company vehicle, decals are the budget alternative to a full wrap: name, logo, phone, and a few graphics in the right spots get you most of the visibility for a fraction of the cost. We cut these from cast vinyl rated for years outdoors and on the road.

Wall decals

Office logos, lobby branding, conference-room lettering, motivational walls, and wayfinding. One honest note up front: a wall decal is a multi-year piece, and when it eventually comes down, standard vinyl can lift a bit of paint with it. If the wall is a rental or you expect to rebrand, tell us and we will spec a specialty removable film made to minimize that. See our wall murals for full-coverage interior graphics.

Custom cut-vinyl decals

Logos, labels, equipment ID, and brand graphics on almost any clean surface: glass, metal, plastic, painted drywall, and equipment. If you can give us the artwork, we can cut or print it as a decal, in the size and color you need, in any quantity from one to a few thousand.

Floor decals

Branded floor graphics, directional arrows, and safety markers on a slip-rated laminate built for foot traffic. More on those on our floor graphics page.

The Part That Decides Whether a Decal Lasts

Two choices make or break a decal, and the cheap online sellers get both wrong. First, the film: calendared vinyl is cheaper and fine for flat indoor decals, but for anything outdoors, curved, or meant to last, we use cast vinyl, which is thinner, conforms better, and holds color for years instead of months. Second, removability: a permanent adhesive that you plan to remove will fight you and damage the surface, while a removable adhesive that needs to last outdoors will lift early. We match the film and the adhesive to where the decal is going and how long it needs to be there, which is the entire difference between a decal that still looks sharp next year and one you are scraping off in spring.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do custom decals cost?

Cut-vinyl window or door lettering often runs $75 to $300 depending on size and detail. Full-color printed decals and larger window pieces scale from there, and vehicle decal packages typically land between a few hundred dollars and the low four figures, well under the cost of a full wrap. Quantity brings the per-piece price down. We quote itemized within 24 to 48 hours from your artwork or dimensions.

How long do decals last?

Cut and printed decals on cast vinyl hold up for several years outdoors and longer indoors. Calendared vinyl on a flat indoor surface lasts a few years. We will tell you honestly which film your job needs so you are not paying for more than the placement requires, or getting less than it demands.

Are your decals removable, and will they damage the surface?

On glass and metal, decals remove cleanly. On a painted wall, a standard decal that has been up for a year or more can lift some paint on removal, so for rentals or future rebrands we use a specialty removable film made to minimize that. Tell us the surface and the plan and we spec the right material up front.

Can you install the decals or do I apply them myself?

Both. Simple cut-vinyl decals come with application tape and instructions if you want to apply them yourself, and for storefronts, vehicles, fleets, and large or detailed installs our team installs them across the Chicago metro so they go on straight and bubble-free.

Do you do indoor and outdoor decals?

Yes. We match the film and laminate to the environment: UV-stable cast vinyl and laminate for outdoor and vehicle decals, and the right indoor film for windows, walls, and floors. Same decal artwork, different material spec depending on where it lives.

Get a decals quote: send your artwork or describe what you need on what surface, and we will spec the right film and quote it within 24 to 48 hours.
