The right material depends on exposure, size, and lifespan. 13oz scrim vinyl is the standard for storefront and event banners (two to three year outdoor life). 18oz blockout vinyl is required for double-sided street-pole banners. Vinyl mesh (70/30 perforated) is a must for any banner over 8 feet wide or mounted in exposed wind.
