If you prefer the DIY option, wall covering installations can be a fairly straightforward process, and with a few extra hands and the right tools, installation steps can instead be completed by someone handy in your office.
- Prepare the surface by wiping it down with a clean, dry cloth to remove dust, debris and other buildup.
- Get the wall covering ready by placing it image-side down. If you’re installing a larger graphic with multiple panels, make sure to arrange each tile in their proper mounting order.
- Slowly remove the wall covering backing paper.
- Apply the mural or each individual wall covering tile using your fingers to lightly apply pressure to make sure the covering properly sticks to the wall.
- Use a squeegee tool to smooth out any creases, starting from the center of the graphic and moving outward to the wall covering’s edges.
- To help protect the image from damage, apply a sealant to the wall covering.
