Business in Uncertain Times: How to keep your company going during COVID-19

APRIL 4, 2020| SpeedPro of SF Peninsula

Considering recent events and the growing national concern over COVID-19, essential business owners are working to keep their employees and customers safe while still serving the public.

It’s a known fact that clear, effective signage is an important part of business, and during these times of uncertainty, has becomes even more crucial. As business owners, it is our responsibility to provide a safe work environment for our employees and customers alike. One way to do this? Use signs and other visual reminders to help people maintain social distance and stay on top of personal hygiene.

Signs come in a variety of materials and sizes depending on what you’re looking for. Short term, long term, indoor and outdoor options are all available. Here is a short list of ways that signage can help prepare your business for the uncertainty ahead.

1. Way-finding Signage

If your business operations have recently changed (and who’s hasn’t?) it is important to have effective and well placed way-finding signage to help direct the flow of people and maintain social distance.

2. Temporary Store Hours

Have your hours of operation changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic? You’re not alone. Let your customers know when you’ll be open and how to get in touch with you if needed.

3. Staying Connected to your community

If you do have to temporarily close your business’ doors, it is important to let your customers and larger community know that you are planning to be back soon. Whether you’ll be open for pickup, deliveries only, by appointment only or open with limited hours, let people know with a temporary banner or outdoor sign.
