Custom Full Printed Table Runners: Flexible and Cost-Effective

Dressing up a table is a frequent requirement at events. Whether it’s for a demo, small trade show, recruiting fair, registration/check-in table, or wedding, there are dozens of uses for a branded table throw — a tablecloth that covers the whole 6 foot or 8 foot table. At SpeedPro of SF Peninsula, our favorite option is a customized, full throw using dye sublimation printing which allows edge-to-edge printing over the entire surface. SpeedPro’s table throws are made from a printable polyester blend material that has finished edges and is wrinkle resistant. Since we can print on the entire surface, there’s no limit to your creativity. Nobody is stuck choosing from a dozen color backgrounds with heat press lettering. That’s strictly old school!
Smooth Banner material makes a great budget throw. Sometimes this can be price prohibitive or not the right choice for short-term usage. A great alternative is a table runner, which is placed on top of a white or colored table cloth and creates a contrasting band. Table runners are most commonly made in 24″, 30″, 48″ or 60″ widths, and can be cloth or smooth banner. The base layer “under” cloths are often available for rent at venues, or more interesting, colorful table cloths can be purchased at local linen retailers without putting too much of a dent in the wallet.
Smooth banner material offers a great solution for table runners or front skirts for indoor or outdoor events. Like its fabric cousin, the smooth table banner offers a soft, even look and doesn’t have the waffle like grid of exterior “scrim” banner which is designed for strength over beauty. The banner material is light enough to drape over the front of the table and stay put only adding little weight.
