Speedpro East Bay prides itself on our local support. From sponsoring organizations to returning 5% of our profits back to the community, we enjoy giving back. Here are just a few of the SpeedPro East Bay sponsorships of local organizations we’ve done over the years.
TOP SPEEDPRO EAST BAY SPONSORSHIPS
JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT OF NORTHERN CA
At SpeedPro East Bay we are active sponsors of Junior Achievement of Northern California. Our owner, Carrie Ericson, got involved in JA as a kid and has stayed involved ever since as a volunteer and current Board member. “Their education on financial literacy, entrepreneurism and workforce readiness really resonated with me as a kid and helped me gain the skills I needed to not only be successful in building my career, but also starting my own business.” said Carrie.
From teaching in the classroom and mentoring students on campus, to helping design / fabricate booths for JA’s Finance Park Pop-up, to hosting JA students in our studio.
At SpeedPro East Bay we are ALL IN on helping to educate our youth for the future!

At Junior Achievement we believe in “possible.” Each day, we work to help young people discover what’s possible in their lives. We do this by helping them connect what they learn in school with life outside the classroom. We let them know it’s possible to invest in their future, to gain a better understanding of how the world works, and to pursue their dreams. We show them that it’s possible for tomorrow to be a better day.

DONUT FUN RUN 2025
SpeedPro East Bay is proud to share that we are one of many sponsors for Donut Petit’s annual “Fun Run”! We’ve collaborated on a ton of projects with Donut Petit, and are always happy to support a local Alameda business.

MATERIALS FOR LOCALS
SpeedPro East Bay has been posting and sharing to local Alamedians about the scrap materials we have to offer for pick up. We love recycling, and as a large format print company, we carry a ton of scrap pieces that are still able to be used for personal signage, arts and crafts, or other projects. Stop on by and check out some leftover materials that still need some use.

ZACK BACKAS – KITE FOILER
Zack Backas initially came into SpeedPro East Bay looking for vinyl adhesive decals to put on to his kiteboard. He wanted to use this as a way to show off his sponsors. At the time he didn’t have any sponsors yet so Ed Owens decided that we would be his sponsor. As a sponsor, we helped pay for his entry fees for the Summer Series as well as provide over $500 worth of SpeedPro East Bay sponsorship stickers for his board and kite.
Because his Summer Series was such a great success for him, we’re helping send him to the 2019 KiteFoil US National Championship on Friday, August 16th through Sunday, August 18th hosted by the Santa Barbara Yacht Club. Here’s a link to some footage from the event. He placed 14th in this event over 3 days and a total of 19 races.
TESTIMONIAL
FRIENDS OF THE ALAMEDA ANIMAL SHELTER ADOPTION STORE
The Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter (FAAS) opened up their first satellite adoption center in July 2019 at South Shore shopping center and SpeedPro East Bay was a founding sponsor. With this pop-up shop, FAAS hopes to begin the process of their mission to save homeless pets in Alameda. We donated $1,000 to the cause as well as assist with their vinyl lettering on the doors for store hours. In addition to this, we printed and installed their “Coming Soon” banner leading up to the opening. We continue to print their signage for upcoming events always giving them a nonprofit discount.
FEEL GOOD CHIROPRACTIC – SENSORY SANTA
Dr. Heidi Wroebel with Feel Good Chiropractic came into SpeedPro East Bay when she was looking to get some window graphics for her business and she’s been a great supporter ever since. When she mentioned that she was hosting a Sensory Santa meet and greet for children with sensory issues, we wanted to support in any way. This event gave children the opportunity to meet Santa in a way that they wouldn’t normally get to do. Children who are sensitive to light, sound, and crowds would now be able to relax and have fun. We donated to the cause including sticker sheets for the children’s goodie bags and signs for the event.
OAKLAND DIGITAL INSPIRATION AWARDS
Founded in 2009 Oakland Digital helps to resolve the digital divide by educating the under-served in digital literacy and design. When we came across Shaun Tai and this wonderful organization, we wanted to be as involved as possible. Previously, we attended their annual Inspiration Awards, but in 2018 we were unable to make it. So, instead, we decided to sponsor the ceremony. We also continue to discount any of the printing they do with us. Whether it’s their event signage to full-on wall murals that they design.
ALAMEDA THEATRE – WARRIORS PLAYOFFS WATCH PARTIES
What originally began as just an ad for SpeedPro East Bay to run on the big screen turned into something even greater. Every year, the Alameda Theatre hosts playoff watch parties for the local community to view with their friends. In 2018 we decided to run an ad along with other Alameda businesses to show during the breaks of the game. As a part of our ad, we printed lifesize Warriors players on foam-core and then hand cut them out. Instead of keeping them around our shop, we decided to donate them to the Alameda Theatre. This way fans could take pictures with them when they attended the watch parties. The watch parties over the years raised $60,000 which the Alameda Theatre then donated to the refurbishment of the Washington Park basketball courts by the Golden State Warriors Community Foundation.

PROJECT GLIMMER
Project Glimmer was founded in 2009 and is a non-profit that inspires at-risk teenage girls and women to believe in themselves through the help of their community. Being that SpeedPro East Bay is a woman-owned business, we were proud to sponsor and donate to such a wonderful program that empowers women. This included a monetary donation as well as spending the day packaging gifts for the girls and women for the holidays.

ALAMEDA LITTLE LEAGUE
Ed Owens had served on the board of Alameda Little League for many years. His own kids were also little league participants. Because of his close connection to the Alameda Little League and his joy for helping local organizations, during the SpeedPro East Bay Grand Opening, he donated $1600 to them.
In addition to this, we have offered special little league banner pricing. This includes the annual opening day ceremonies in the previous years . We also offer discounts for all other signage that they may need on the field.
