Chabot Wayfinding and Exhibit Graphics Project

The Chabot Space and Science Center is a museum and educational facility located in Oakland, California. It is dedicated to exploring the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and provides educational programs and exhibits to the public. The museum features a range of interactive exhibits, planetarium shows, and observatory viewing opportunities, as well as special events and programs for all ages.

Some of the exhibits at the Chabot Space and Science Center include the Mars Robotics Laboratory, which allows visitors to explore the challenges and possibilities of sending humans to Mars, and the Environmental Change Gallery, which focuses on the causes and consequences of climate change. The museum also has a number of educational programs and workshops for students, including field trips and summer camps.

Overall, the Chabot Space and Science Center is a popular attraction for those interested in learning about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics and exploring the wonders of the universe SpeedPro East Bay has had a long relationship with Chabot.  We’ve created various internal and external communications for them, as well as helped them create several exhibits over the years.  During the Covid-19 shutdowns, they reached out to our team and were able to do a long-needed update of the wayfinding signage in and around the museum. SpeedPro East Bay created custom wayfinding signage, restroom signs, room signs, and donor signage. We were able to pull in resources for a compressed timeline installation before the Grand-Reopening Gala.
